Here's a quick useful tip for fellow American travelers going abroad: If you find yourself constantly being re-routed to your traveling country's Google front page, you can use this link (http://www.google.com/ncr) to tell Google to always just use "Google.com" instead of "Google.de" or "Google.lv", etc..
