I got an email this morning from ASOS saying that they were now carrying the Casio W86-1V watch with the infamous Illuminator technology. This exact model was my very first watch when I was a kid and I fondly remember it lasting a very long time and holding up to lots of use. In fact, I still have this very same watch in my closet and I’m tempted to get it out and replace the battery in order to bring life to it again. Unfortunately, this hot item is already sold out at ASOS, but you can pick it up for cheaper at Amazon.com

If any of you want a large 3″ button from Book It, you can buy one on eBay for $1 (plus $1.95 shipping). I want the Book It button that had a changing picture on it when you angled it differently, but nobody is selling that one. I can’t even find a picture of it (if you have one from way back, please photograph and send to me please!).

Just a heads up: Ark Clothing is having a massive sale at the moment and they currently have the Superdry Mini Kit Bags on sale for only about $35 USD. The bags come in black, white & gold (shown above), white, and white & black.
I did a review of the regular-sized Kit Bag back in November 2007 and I still believe the bags to be some of the most durable on the market. Just keep in mind that this deal at Ark Clothing is for the Mini Kit Bag which should be a good size for most people going on short trips. If I had a choice back then, I would have chosen the Mini Kit Bag instead of the regular-sized Kit Bag because of convenience in carrying it around (the regular Kit Bag is a bit too large).

There’s a bit of a funny tale going on around this Three Wolf Moon

Calling long distance numbers off random websites isn’t a regular pastime but I’ve been trying to track down artist Antonia Neschev. Born in Sofia in 1962, Neschev graduated from Bulgaria’s National Fine Arts Academy in 1982 (I’m lifting this from her website, you should check it out). She moved to the USA in 1996 and has since pursued a career in art that’s attracted minimal attention. Which is not to make a judgement. It’s just a fact.
Some time towards the end of 2008 a low-key New Hampshire t-shirt company, The Mountain, licensed an image by Neschev of three wolves howling at the moon. The resulting tee is beyond kitsch, goes past irony. It’s probably located somewhere in the realm of the un-wearable. Ignoring all of this though, some time in November one Amazon user posts a five star review of the item, and six months later, May 2009, it’s become the top selling clothing product on the site with sales up 2,300%.
At the time of this post, there are 1155 reviews of this T-shirt that could only be labeled as ironic and tongue-in-cheek because I have a feeling that very few people in this world would truly find this T-shirt attractive. But still, for about $12-$18 (depending on your size) this could be a great impulse buy that will put you in with a very nerdy group of online individuals. And if you’re totally fine with the rest of the world looking at you like you’re crazy, then this might be one deal to take advantage of on Amazon.com.
