Haha, this is too good of a reaction not to post. Deidra Shores became the Today’s Show Kid Reporter last week when it was announced that she was the winner in the Kid Reporter search put on by NBC.
New Oxford America Dictionary names ‘unfriend’ the Word of the Year

No doubt inspired by the unfriending frenzy brought on by people thoughtlessly friending others on Facebook, the term “unfriend” has just been coined the 2009 Word of the Year by the New Oxford American Dictionary.
Other words which were up for the prestigious award were sexting (sending sexual photos via cellphone), funemployment (doing stupid stuff while unemployed), hashtag (from Twitter), and deleb (a dead celebrity).
Deleb is a new one. Never heard or read anybody using that one. I think Oxford Dictionary made that one up themselves.

The above commercial is a real commercial made for Cullman Liquidation Center in Cullman, Alabama. The commercial was made in part by MicroBilt Corporation — a company devoted to helping small businesses see profit — and videographers Rhett and Link who collectively run I Love Local Commercials.
