StarCraft 2: Story Mode gameplay video

November 20, 2009 @ 1:48 am

Shoot, I’m not even playing StarCraft 2 yet and and already I’m having a great time just watching the video of somebody else playing the game!

New Super Mario Bros. Wii: Super Skills trailer

November 14, 2009 @ 4:49 pm

This game looks so damn amazing. The game is only $47 on Amazon.com (rather than $50 elsewhere, plus there’s free shipping on Amazon.com).

My question is why the game is released on November 12th in Australia and on November 15th in the US. That’s whack.

DOOM cover artist passes away

November 2, 2009 @ 2:12 am

I didn’t think I’d care, but CrunchGear just posted about the death of Don Ivan Punchatz, the artist behind the original DOOM video game box, and it sorta made me a bit sad.

DOOM was one of the first PC games I ever played and I can recall seeing this image every time I launched the game. And now the man who subconsciously told me that it was ok to shoot aliens is dead. It’s weird to think that DOOM is more than 15 years old.

Video of the new Nintendo DSi XL

I bet you that playing multiplayer Tetris on this bigger DSi XL is a heck of a lot more comfortable than the regular DS/DSi because you won’t have to flex your hand muscles to get a hold of the device while pushing all sorts of buttons. I hope I’m right! This looks nice.

Download now: The New Super Mario Bros. Wii hi-res artwork

October 29, 2009 @ 12:51 am

If you haven’t heard, the New Super Mario Bros. Wii game now has a release date of November 15th in the US. The New Super Mario Bros. Wii looks like it’s the Mario game to have for the Nintendo Wii. Can’t wait to own it!

Kotaku had the hi-res art available for viewing, but they made it real cumbersome to download so I packed all of the New Super Mario Bros. Wii artwork into one zip file which you can download here.

Also, you can pre-order the New Super Mario Bros. Wii game on Amazon.com for just $47.

Retro Duo NES/SNES gaming system

October 25, 2009 @ 10:19 pm

Game cartridges usually outlast the game consoles they go with, which means that some people end up having a lot of old games lying around without a system to play them on. If you’re one of those people with a heck of a lot of NES and SNES games, then the Retro Duo NES/SNES gaming system is probably what you want if you want to relive the days of 8-bit and 16-bit video games.

The Retro Duo NES/SNES system comes with two top-loading slots for NES and SNES games and two controllers that look like the original SNES game controllers. For less than $50, this looks like a pretty fun game accessory to own.

It comes in blue and white & black and red each for $45.
