I’m sorry, but going to the Fame school was not nearly as dramatic as this movie makes it out to be. I have an inkling that this film is gonna bomb…in a bad way. But I’ll probably go see it because it’s loosely based on my high school.

Yesterday, I officially graduated from Parsons The New School for Design yesterday with a BFA in Photography.
Today, I declined my first job offer.
Tomorrow…who knows!
Thank you for stopping by on Tuesday!

It’s been a few days since the opening of the senior thesis photo show at Calumet Gallery, but I wanted to take some time out and officially thank everyone who made it to the opening reception. It was packed! An official email from Parsons Photo estimated the crowd at about 500+ people and word is that that was one of the biggest opening nights in recent history for Parsons seniors.
But again, thank you for everyone who stopped by and showed their support for me and for my fellow classmates. It was truly good to see faces that I haven’t seen in a long time and to reconnect over such a busy and fun atmosphere.
If you couldn’t make it on Tuesday, you still have a chance to see the work on display at Calumet Gallery. Just head on over to 20 W 22nd Street (2nd Floor) before May 22 (regular business hours). Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Please stop by my show tomorrow @ Calumet Gallery
May 11, 2009 @ 4:14 am

I really shouldn’t say “my show” since there’s going to be lots of work from other graduating Parsons photo majors as well, but anyway, please do stop by and take a look at all the wonderful work on display. Come say hi, shake my hand, give me a hug, take a picture with me…whatever you want.
The gallery is located at Calumet Gallery @ 22 West 22nd Street (NYC). Opening reception will be tomorrow (May 12, 2009) from 6PM-8:30PM and if you come tomorrow for the opening you’ll get to meet the photographers (and yours truly, of course).
If you can’t make it tomorrow at that time, no worries! The show will be up until May 22 during normal Calumet store business hours. Entrance is free.
If you have questions, don’t hesitate to email me. :)
It is finished

Some have been looking forward to this day for 4 years. Others, like me, have been looking forward to being done with school altogether since age 5. So finally, after 17 years of non-stop formal education, I am done! The only thing left now is the gallery opening (and closing) and graduation. Yippee!
