Barton took it upon himself to redesign the Facebook experience with a completely revamped interface and navigation system inspired by Skimmer. The new design he made looks much more fluid than the current Facebook site and mimics some of the side-scrolling functionality present in the current iPhone Facebook application.
One of my favorite parts of the redesign is the events/calendar page (see below) which I think would be a great addition to the current Facebook site. I wonder if anybody at Facebook is seeing Barton’s work.
Check out a demo video of the new Facebook facelift below.

CP came across a wonderful website gem today called Will’s Online World Paper Money Gallery. The site basically collects images of different world paper currencies and lists them in alphabetical order for your viewing pleasure. I’ve always believed that some of the greatest designs around us are in our money, and this website makes that clear. It’s going to take me a couple of days at least to go through each country on the list.
The Coal Headwear website not only has a great selection of hats, beanies, and headgear, it also looks very nice too. A suitable site for a company based in Portland, Oregon who has been making quality material goods for the past 7 years. Check out their goods now and purchase something for the coming winter months.
Wow, already? Google Wave is barely beyond a preview right now and Gina Trapani has already compiled all of the possible tips and tricks to help you make the most of your Google Wave experience. For what it’s worth though, this is actually quite informative and it includes a lot of stuff that Google doesn’t really tell you right off the bat when you start using Wave. [via]
Times are a’changin’ and DQM has finally launched an online store to go along with their great selection of in-store goodies. So if you can’t make it to their NYC outlet, now’s a good time to browse their online store and beat the lines at the register (there aren’t really lines…I’m just sayin’).
