When I first saw this photo on The Big Picture I seriously thought it was a set of pie charts on a spreadsheet. It turns out that it’s actually a bunch of roads and circular fields in Egypt.

One of my favorite photographers, Yann Arthus-Bertrand is showing off his work in New York City next year at the World Financial Ceneter Plaza along the Battery Park City Esplanade from May 1, 2009 to June 28, 2009. He is most famous for his book entitled “Earth From Above” that shows off the beauty of the Earth from high altitudes.
I’ve always wanted to purchase his book and this is the perfect reminder to do just that, especially now that the book is on sale for $35.
To mark the special occasion in New York, The Big Picture has posted 10 photos (originally, there were 38 photos there) of Yann’s work. Whoo! This is exciting work!
