This is a lovely animated short by Egmont Mayer that depicts the life of a lonely man that keeps a giant rabbit as a pet in his small apartment. If my dog Joey were a rabbit, he’d be this rabbit for sure — clumsy, big, and cute! [via]
I wonder why the short is called “Red Rabbit” though. Is there some sort of cultural reference I’m missing here? Enlighten me if there is.
Jess is in town so we all decided to have an afternoon session of Wii and card games and YouTube. It was awesome.
The top picture is posed, but the bottom one is candid and shows all of us doing exactly what we do normally; Danny just looking into space, Ian infatuated with Joey, Doreen on her BlackBerry, and Jess and I on the computer.
If you come over to my apartment during the hours of 8AM and 3PM, me and my assistant Joey will gladly take a photograph of you under this skylight (weather permitting).
For those of you who don’t know, this is our dog Joey. He has calmed down a lot in the past year or so and it’s been a bit odd for me to come home to a less active dog than I remember before I left for Australia. In any case, I’m growing to love the “new” and more relaxed Joey. I get to spend a lot of time with him during the daytime since I don’t start classes until much later in the day. He sits around and sleeps a lot and I’m finding his new behavior very peculiar in a soothing way.
This is a portrait of him in our living room. He posed for a good 10 minutes or so without moving. Good boy.
