I’ve never seen or heard of these Asics Coolidge Lo shoes before. They’re part of the Onitsuka Tiger line of footwear so I guess it makes sense that they’re somewhat under the radar when compared with the regular Asics line. Anyway, I like them a lot. They come in hi-tops too, but honestly, they look a lot uglier than their shorter counterparts shown here.

I just photographed all of the pairs of sneakers that I own on my hardwood floor and the result is somewhat mesmerizing. I realize now that I have enough pairs of footwear to last more than half a month without ever wearing a pair twice. If there’s one thing I don’t need any more of, it’s sneakers.
Photographed in total here are 22 pairs of sneakers and shoes consisting of the following brands:
I left several pairs out of this collection of photographs simply because I don’t really wear them. I decided to only photograph the shoes that I really wear on rotation.
I’ve included each image on its own page so you can comment on individual shoes if you want. So comment away. Tell me which ones you don’t like, tell me which ones you think are alright, and ask me things about each pair and I’ll try to answer them. Click inside to see ‘em!

Origami In the Pursuit of Perfection from MABONA ORIGAMI on Vimeo.
Sipho Mabona of Mabona Origami created this lovely stop-motion animation to tell the story behind the ASICS brand. All of the origami was made by Sipho Mabona and the animation and CG work was aided by Nordpol+ Hamburg. [via]

The ASICS Gel Lyte III sneakers are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever tried on. Unfortunately, I do not own a pair and the sneak peek at the 2009 lineup of ASICS running shoes is making me lust after a pair more than ever before. Seen above is the upcoming Gel Lyte III sneaker in teal, orange, grey, and white. There are several other colorways available for this sneaker in 2009, but this is the one I want the most.

Somebody please explain to me why Asics is not releasing the new Gel Lyte III in black and orange in the United States. This sneaker is gorgeous and it also includes my favorite shade of orangish-redish-orangish (that color that I don’t know the name of).
WANT!
By the way, why are the Asics Top Seven sneakers at Zappos so expensive now?
