Caliroots is one of the few online stores I’m seeing so far that is carrying the new Nike Cheyenne 2000 technical backpack. The difference between this version and the regular Cheyenne 2000 backpack is that this one comes completely weather-sealed with waterproof zippers and a rubberized exterior lining. For about $185 USD, this isn’t a bad choice for lugging around gear that absolutely must stay dry.
Check out the images of the bag below (photos courtesy of Caliroots).

Altadena Works, the bag company which I raved about earlier, has released a new color of both their 801 Teardrop Backpack and the 802 tube-shaped rucksack.
Like all Altadena Works bags, these new bags are also made of heavyweight, water repellent canvas duck, Horween leather, military spec nylon webbing, YKK coil zippers and metal hardware in black oxide finish. Definitely something to feast your eyes on. Check out the gallery below.

A few weeks ago, Chrome graciously provided a Chrome Warsaw bag for me to test out on the streets of New York City — to get a good feel of how tough this bag is, how much it could carry, and how much of a beating it can take on the back of a city cyclist like me. Let me just start off by saying that this bag can carry A LOT.
And that’s not exaggerating. This bag can hold so much stuff that even when I’ve packed everything that I needed into it, the bag still managed to look half full. In fact, if I ever need to know what bag can hold 12 pairs of shoes (that’s 24 individual shoes if you’re counting) then I’ve found my candidate. Or if I need to hold an entire week’s worth of groceries in one bag on my back, the Warsaw does the job exceptionally well without giving me back pain. Or if I needed to pack 3-4 individual lunch coolers into one bag (not that I ever would), I know what bag will do the job. If you aren’t getting it by now, just know that this bag holds more than I ever need in one single trip.
But that’s what makes the Chrome Warsaw so appealing to me. That it can hold more than I would ever need. And for a person like me who always wants to be prepared to carry any item of any size without worrying about it falling out of the bag when I’m biking, this is the pack I want to own and have on my back. Read on inside to see the full review.

This astronaut gear backpack is made for children, but if such a thing existed for adults, I’d want one. A top pocket holds two gloves and a front compartment holds a complete astronaut helmet. With a few zips, you can go from regular-guy to astronaut-guy in seconds.
The kicker? Well, it’s $44 and it doesn’t actually come with the helmet or the gloves. Great product but lame advertising.

Remember The North Face Base Camp Duffel that I posted earlier last year? Well, The North Face has taken the same rugged bag, reshaped it and added two shoulder straps to it to turn it into a backpack. The new creation is called Base Camp Master Cylinder and it’s only $99. At that price, you get an indestructible pack that hauls more than just your everyday load.
Also, due to the bag’s shape and features, you can access its contents via a top and side opening which is great for putting awkward-sized objects in.
