I’ve been following this story for most of the afternoon and it just seems to be getting weirder and weirder by the minute. First, reports came in that a boy was floating away in a home-made helium balloon and cameras circled the object until it crash landed somewhere near Colorado Springs, Colorado. Then, when emergency crews looked into the balloon, they found that there was no boy inside! And now, some people are saying that the boy might not have even been in the balloon in the first place or that the kid might have fallen from the balloon while it was in the air (if that is the case, then that’s pretty sad).
In any case, this is still a developing story and the authorities are now looking for the boy.

David Sykes commissioned model maker Ridley West to create a giant white plate that could be attached to a wall and then created this fabulous balloon breakfast photograph with the help of Jennie Webster. Yummy!

The Korean website that sells this balloon gun is touting it as a new one way to play Russian roulette. Of course, there’s no real fear of death with this toy, but for some the possibility of losing one’s hearing is scary enough not to mess with this balloon gun.
How much for this “toy”? Just over $15 USD.

Just a reminder that the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade begins today at 9AM EST at 77th Street and Central Park West. The parade continues downtown to Columbus Circle before turning onto Broadway and ending on 7th Avenue near the Macy’s Herald Square store location.
As I’ve mentioned previously before, Buzz Lightyear will make his first appearance this year as a giant balloon along with several other well-known movie characters like Horton the Elephant, Kermit the Frog, and Shrek. The Buzz Lightyear balloon above sure looks pretty awesome.
