Seriously? They couldn’t do anything about the audio reverb for the TV broadcast? What is this?
Dad catches foul ball and daughter throws it back
September 17, 2009 @ 12:59 am

Steve Monforto was at a Phillies game on Tuesday night when he caught his first foul ball only to have his daughter throw it back toward the playing field. The video is incredibly heartwarming so I suggest you enjoy it while it’s up.
The MLB has been actively hunting to take down this video from all major video outlets, so the only place to watch it is at the MLB website.
The Washington Natinals
April 20, 2009 @ 12:24 pm

No, that’s not a typo in the title and that’s no Photoshop trickery in the image above. The Washington Nationals baseball team actually became the ‘Natinals’ when two of their players — Adam Dunn and Ryan Zimmerman — donned team jerseys that misspelled the team’s name. [via]

Streeter gets Amir back for his Yankee proposal prank
March 4, 2009 @ 10:34 am
Amir and Streeter both work at CollegeHumor and they’ve been involved in a very long series of prank wars that escalated to its peak about a year and a half ago when Amir made it seem like Streeter proposed to his girlfriend at a Yankees baseball game. Since then, there have been no signs of retaliation (or a prank-back) from Streeter and many assumed that Amir had won with the ultimate prank.
Well, not so. Streeter wrote on his blog yesterday that he had finally gotten Amir back for the Yankee stadium prank and the video was just posted on CollegeHumor.
Streeter rigged a Maryland basketball game so that Amir would be chosen as the person to take a blind shot at the basket for half a million dollars. The reaction from Amir is priceless when he thinks he actually made the shot and when it is revealed to him that Streeter was behind the whole thing.
If somehow you missed Amir’s Yankee stadium prank, it’s embedded below. I can’t wait to see what Amir has in store for Streeter.
New Boston Red Sox uniforms
December 23, 2008 @ 1:42 am

I first heard about the new Boston Red Sox logo from Brand New and upon further investigation, I came across some images of the new uniforms from The Red Sox Insider blog.
I really don’t follow baseball at all so I really have no sentiments toward any particular team, but I do know about the baseball rivalry that exists between New Yorkers and Bostonians. I honestly could care less about it, but fanatics of both cities think it’s something to get riled up about, so I just let those people have their say while my mind goes to sleep mode.
Anyway, I saw the new logo and immediately thought how wonderful it was and refreshing to see a baseball logo renewed and refreshed. The new logos aren’t replacing the old classic logos at all, but rather just serving as a supplement for the team while the team is on the road. The Red Sox Insider has a breakdown of when the new jerseys will be used.
I really think the hat shown above is pretty fantastic. It’s simple and it makes use of an iconic sports logo that has stood for decades in history. If you like it too, you can purchase the new duds at the MLB shop.
