From The Big Picture comes this amusing photo of a person dressed as Australia’s Prime Minister Kevin Rudd sitting on the beach and waking up with water around him. The stunt was organized by Oxfam Australia on September 21, 2009 and was aimed to bring awareness to global climate change.
Steve Lambert has a small side project called Arrow Sign in Los Angeles where he places a large sign with an improvised message into random scenes in LA. The picture above is from this set and it’s called “Sand Ocean Sky – The Commons”.
I have just added St. Kilda Today to my growing list of Melbourne photoblogs (see previously: Melbourne Today). I recently had a look at my photos from Melbourne and I was reminded again of how much I want to go back. While I’m here, the best I can do is keep up with these fantastic photoblogs from Melbourne.
St. Kilda Blog is nice also because the images are available to download in full-res. Just click on just about any image and as long as you have a Google account, you can download the full image for free.
Funko is sharing this Top Gear review of the Ford Fiesta (a car we do not have in the US) that takes the idea of a proper Q&A session quite literally. Questions are flashed on the screen and then followed up by road tests that go about answering that question.
Things like whether or not you can outrun a Corvette inside a shopping mall are answered by, well, showing the Fiesta chased inside a shopping mall by a Corvette! And should you ever find yourself in a situation where you are needed with the Fiesta to help the Royal Marines, you’ll be happy to know that not only can the Fiesta hold up, but smoke grenades fit perfectly in the cup holders as well!
All in all, a great video review of the Ford Fiesta and definitely the most thorough test of any car I’ve ever seen.
Carnival Cruise Lines showed off to the entire world just how much fun they can have by shooting a commercial in Dallas, TX using 2 giant beach balls. The 3-story high beach balls were unleashed to a crowd below on the street at Pegasus Park on October 26, 2008.
