I guess my sister knows that I work for a wedding photographer, so she sent me a link to Wedinator to make sure that I always speak up if my boss goes to photograph a wedding like any of these.

Subway Art on The New York Times Lens blog

If you’ve never had a chance to look at Subway Art by by Martha Cooper and Henry Chalfant, then head on over to The New York Times Lens where they’ve posted 16 beautiful images from the book.

Subway Art was recently re-published as a giant 25th anniversary edition and if you’ve seen it, you will know that I’m telling the truth when I say that it is simply remarkable. I have the “regular-sized” edition and that was amazing already, but seeing the entire book several times bigger is something else! If you want the definitive look at graffiti art in New York City in the 80’s, Subway Art is definitely your best bet. The giant 25th anniversary edition is only $26 which is an incredible deal for such a piece of work. Seriously. Just look at those NYT pictures as proof.
