P2 Wordpress theme now available

November 22, 2009 @ 3:52 am

The utterly fantastic Twitter-like (and Google Wave-like) WordPress theme, Prologue, has been updated and refined. The new version, called P2, focuses on customization, easier management of posts, and an overall sleeker look. It’s already deployed on WordPress.com blogs and if you want it for your self-hosted WP blog, you can download it here.

Chances are that if you’ve been online for the past 10 years or so, you or somebody you know has an account on Blogger. Sure, maybe that blog has been stagnant for years because you’ve moved on to bigger and better things (WordPress, Tumblr, or social networks like Facebook) but you know that in the back of your mind Blogger is probably the OG blogging platform that got you started in this whole blogging business to begin with. So on this day, take some time out and think about what you were doing 10 years ago on August 23, 1999. Were you blogging? Did you even know what a blog was? Ahh, but you do now and you have Blogger to partially thank for that.

Flutter takes the idea of Twitter and makes it shorter

April 6, 2009 @ 4:10 pm

One of Twitter’s unique qualities is the 140 character limit they place on all tweets, essentially forcing you to get to the point and keep your messages short. Sometimes though, even 140 characters is too much to read and when you multiply that number by the number of people you are following, the amount of actual characters and words being read becomes incredibly large.

So how do you solve this problem? You stop using Twitter and get with Flutter, a brand-new nano-blogging concept that restricts your messages — or flaps — to 26 characters or less. Go head, think simple, and get flapping.
