BottleMate is perfect for bottle cap collectors

November 4, 2009 @ 12:34 am

An Australian company has developed a neat little tool called the BottleMate that easily pops the caps off of bottles while preserving their circular shape. Normally, if you have to open a bottle with a sealed cap, you end up bending it somehow with a bottle opener which really messes up the shape of the cap itself.

In any case, this is a pretty neat product I think and something that might make me start a personal collection of bottle caps just for fun. Thanks Dan for the heads up on this!

Affordable Beard Caps from Beard Head (plus special discount coupon for Doobybrain.com readers!)

February 2, 2009 @ 5:12 pm

beardhead

Remember way back when I posted about the Beard Caps from a store called Scandinavian Grace? A lot of you wrote in to me asking about it and wondering why it was so expensive (it cost $135). Well, it’s been a long time coming, but there’s finally an affordable “beard cap” for the rest of us.

Beard Head has found a way to produce beard caps at an amazingly low price. For only $25 each, you can choose from 4 different color options — viking yellow, lumberjack brown, grandpa grey, and pirate black. I personally think they’re a lot better looking than the Beard Cap I posted about previously. As an extra bonus, these beard caps even come with interchangeable mustache parts (sold separately).

Additionally, the kind folks over at Beard Head have graciously provided a 20% off discount coupon just for Doobybrain.com readers! All you have to do is enter the coupon code DOOBY_109 at checkout and you’ll instantly get your beard hats cheaper than everybody else! So what are you waiting for? These beard caps won’t last very long at this price so snag ‘em while you can!
