Philly’s hip-hop mash-up Chiddy Bang is on track to release their mixtape The Swelly Express on October 29th and to hold us over for a couple of more days, the group has released a track off of that mixtape entitled “All Things Go”.
I’m looking forward to this mixtape if it’s going to sound as good as this track. Listen and download it here.

Philly-based hip-hop group Chiddy Bang are back with a brand-new song called “Truth” premiering exclusively at Pretty Much Amazing. The song uses a sample from “Better Things” by Passion Pit which just happens to be another favorite musical group of mine.
Get the track here: PMA.

Filmed last night at Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY. Enjoy!

Like I said yesterday, I went to see Chiddy Bang for the first time in concert at Southpaw in Brooklyn with Yelena. For those who don’t know, Chiddy Bang is a hip-hop/rock/electro group from Philly that have been putting some really good remixes out lately. The guys are young — still in college — and already making a significant dent in the music scene.
Because they are so new, their set was pretty short, but they did pull through in performing all of the tracks that they’ve released which was fun to see them do live after hearing them so many times on mp3. I have to say this though: Their guitarist/bassist/singer is nuts. It is so entertaining to watch him play because he’s going all out. I mean, the whole band is going all out, but the guy on the left is just doing it 10x more intensely and it’s awesome!
Overall, the venue wasn’t as packed as I thought it would be (maybe it’s just weird to play on a Wednesday night), but it was nice to be able to see the guys up close. Not bad, I say. If these guys keep it up, they’ll go somewhere real quick.
By the way, stick around. I’ll be posting a video from the show later on today. :)

I’ll be in Brooklyn tonight at the Chiddy Bang live show at Southpaw. I’ve grown to love these young guys from Philly and I’m pretty excited to see them live for the first time. Pictures later tonight or tomorrow.
