When Michael Lebowitz’s grandfather passed away last year, his family discovered that the man had kept a wonderful collection of hotel door hangers from around the world. Each one was supposedly taken during a stay at the various hotels the grandfather stayed in during his time in the foreign service. This is definitely my visual inspiration for the day!

Michele over at CP heard that you can wash an entire keyboard inside a dishwasher without damaging it, so she decided to see if that was true by recording the whole process. Watch her video here.

My BlackBerry Bold suffered some minor “wear and tear” over the weekend which caused some of the buttons on the keyboard to become sticky. So what did I do? I watched the handy video below on how to disassemble a BlackBerry Bold and cleaned the unit on my own rather than sending it in for repair/replacement.
I love that practically every single part of a BlackBerry is user-replaceable. If I broke anything other than the main chip board on the Bold, I could easily buy the part to replace it and open my device back up again to get it working.

Signaltheorist did something really neat with a new Roomba he got. He shut off all of the lights in his room for 30 minutes and captured a long exposure of the path that the Roomba makes when it goes about cleaning the area. The resulting photo is a mess of circles and lines that somewhat resemble flight paths. I wonder what the paths would look like in a bigger room. I should get our Roomba out and see.
