Altadena Works releases new Acorn rucksack color

October 27, 2009 @ 11:58 pm

Altadena Works, the bag company which I raved about earlier, has released a new color of both their 801 Teardrop Backpack and the 802 tube-shaped rucksack.

Like all Altadena Works bags, these new bags are also made of heavyweight, water repellent canvas duck, Horween leather, military spec nylon webbing, YKK coil zippers and metal hardware in black oxide finish. Definitely something to feast your eyes on. Check out the gallery below.

AT&T shows off white BlackBerry Bold on their Facebook page

October 13, 2009 @ 5:57 pm

I thought I wouldn’t like it, but I’m oddly drawn to this white version of the BlackBerry Bold. If I had this, I might not use a silicone case on it like I do with my black one.

Matte black sportscars from Avus Performance

Audi TT-RS

Freshnessmag posted a link to Avus Performance, a German performance sportcar company that has a great track record of producing awesome looking cars.

Above is the Audi TT-RS which they’ve given an elegant matte black paint job. As it turns out, they tend to replace the standard paint job on many of their vehicles with a matte black coat which I think makes any car look cool.

See below the Nissan GTR, Audi Q7, and Mercedes ML — all in matte black. Nice eh?

Film The Blanks turns movie posters into abstract art

August 22, 2009 @ 6:51 pm

film-the-blanks

Every weekday over at Film The Blanks, a new movie poster is posted with all words, letters, and non-essential elements removed. The website is an experiment in abstraction, replacing words, faces, and shapes with block colors. Some of the film posters are easy while others are incredibly hard. If you want to have a look at all of the ones that have been posted so far, you can check out this Flickr photoset here.

Also, if you’re interested, you can buy the posters here.
