The above commercial is a real commercial made for Cullman Liquidation Center in Cullman, Alabama. The commercial was made in part by MicroBilt Corporation — a company devoted to helping small businesses see profit — and videographers Rhett and Link who collectively run I Love Local Commercials.

Holy crap! The Retroist has found an old commercial for the Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine, a toy that I remember using when I was younger! This thing was the bomb (but it didn’t make very good snow cones, honestly).
I really don’t even think they bother trying to make sense in Japan. As long as the product’s being shown with some sort of Japanese celebrity, I guess that’s all that matters to them. SUCCESS.
For two weeks starting October 2nd, Disney/Pixar is re-releasing Toy Story and Toy Story 2 as a double feature film (with intermission between movies) in 3D! The Toy Story franchise remains as one of my favorite films of all time and I will most definitely be going to theaters to catch it in 3D (I don’t care if it’s a gimmick or not). CAN’T WAIT! :D
This is Michael Albert’s map of Manhattan made entirely out of letters taken from advertisements and commercial products. The whole collage was completed in Fall 2008 and it measures a whopping 32″x40″. By using these letters, Michael Albert spells out the locations of places and districts in Manhattan. The artist says that there is a spelling mistake in the map and challenges people to look for it.
