Evan Roth created this Michael Jackson public domain countdown to keep track of the 70 years it will take for Michael Jackson’s music catalog to enter the public domain. After 70 or so years, his songs will probably be allowed to be played anywhere without any fees.

Brewing tea? Cooking some turkey? Waiting for your laundry to finish? Don’t worry about forgetting those things ever again with E.ggTimer, your simplest solution to a countdown (as long as you have internet). Just plug in your requested countdown time at the end of the URL and E.ggTimer does the rest with a very neat black border animation to go with it.
Want to countdown 5 seconds? Just type ‘5seconds’ at the end of the E.ggTimer.com URL. It works with all standard ways of writing out time (years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds).
However, there’s still no solution for those who are forgetful enough to even start the timer.

The Countdown to Victory blog is a wonderful collection of videos from around the world showing the exact moment that CNN announced that Barack Obama was the nation’s President-elect.
As the tagline of the website suggests, the reactions around the world are very much the same, which goes to show just how popular this President-elect is! And even though I know every video will essentially show the same thing, I love watching people go ecstatic over the election news.
