Sam shared this link showing some doughnut-topped cupcakes made by chockylit and I kinda fell in love with them. They are tiny in size which probably makes them more dangerous than ever because if I made these I’d end up popping one after the other in my mouth and not even bother to keep count!
If you want to make your own, the recipe is here. Beware however, these look addicting.
Jenny showed me this wonderful cupcake snack shop on Spring Street between Mercer and Broadway today called Baked By Melissa. The place is literally a hole in the wall with an order/pick-up window and nothing more (think of it like a cupcake truck…without the truck).
Anyway, Baked By Melissa specializes in teeny tiny cupcakes that are about the size of a bottle cap (maybe slightly bigger). They’re highly addictive and delicious, so you have to watch out because one person can easily finish a box of 12.
Prices are high for the amount of cupcake you’re actually getting, but it’s good nonetheless. Just be prepared to be broke if you intend to eat some everyday.
Stains, an Australian Shepherd, loves cupcakes so much that it literally puts him into a trance. Look at those white eyes! This would be very scary if it wasn’t for the laughing and the somewhat silly music playing in the background.
