Tennis ball launcher (for dogs)

November 18, 2009 @ 1:29 am

Likecool posted this tennis ball launcher today that’s made to hold 4 tennis balls ready for launch while playing with your dog (or pet that can fetch).

The tennis ball launcher costs about $40 USD and can launch up to 4 tennis balls in a row at a distance of up to 200 feet. Not bad. I bet Joey would like this.

Videos of dogs greeting their owners back from war

November 11, 2009 @ 8:31 pm

In honor of the veterans this Veteran’s Day, Mental Floss has compiled a number of videos of dogs excitedly greeting their owners back from war. It is quite possibly the most wholesome and tear-jerking list of videos I’ve ever come across. Mental Floss hit gold with this entry and I’m going to go ahead and call it their best yet.

If you’re not a dog-lover, they even throw in a video of children being surprised by their parents coming home from war. Needless to say, you should stop what you’re doing now and watch these videos.

Jimmy Tarangelo lives in a van in Manhattan

Man In Van from Sean Dunne on Vimeo.

Sean Dunne spoke and interviewed Jimmy Tarangelo who lives in a van/trailer in Manhattan and does not pay rent to anybody. A care-free life in some ways and certainly interesting to say the least, but not exactly what I would strive for.

But hey, at least now I know why that van on Thompson Street is there.

I feel so bad for these dogs who are part of a creative grooming competition in the US. Photographer Ren Netherland is the exclusive cameraman allowed to take photos of these award-winning groomed pets who win $1000 each for their ridiculous transformations.

New dog characters introduced on full Up website

March 24, 2009 @ 10:21 am

up-characters-main

The full Up website has gone live and features lots of new information on the upcoming film including 3 whole new characters that have never before been seen. The three new characters are dogs whose names are Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Judging by their appearance, I assume that Alpha is a “bad dog” and Beta and Gamma are his somewhat silly and stupid sidekicks.

Unfortunately, this video is not offered in YouTube’s fantastic new HD quality. But who cares, this is kinda amusing to watch.

Thanks for sending me this weird video, Flo!
