Audio-only. But really interesting take on the fall of the independent donut shop in Chicago NOT because of other donut shop competition, but because of COFFEE shop competition.
I haven’t been to the NY location yet (why bother with that line, AMIRIGHT????) but I hear that every Umami Burger location has this delicious donut ice cream sandwich on their menu for $6. A delightful looking treat! I want!
I know this is Toronto, but watching it brought back memories of my obsession with California donuts (not the chain with the same name, just the generic California donut). It was so much better than any other regular donut I’ve had and I want to try to replicate it here on the East Coast.
I cannot imagine waiting in line for 2 hours to get a cronut. That’s ridiculous. I don’t care how good it is.
NYC is home to the cronut, a blend of the traditional glazed donut with the buttery goodness of a croissant. This sounds good.
