Photographer Stephen Alvarez took this amazing photo of a man going into the Majlis al Jinn, the 9th largest cave chamber in the world. Looks like a nice place to explore.

PSP billboard finally taken down

December 1, 2008 @ 6:04 pm

The big PSP billboard on Houston Street and Lafayette Street has finally been taken down. I can’t remember a time when the PSP sign was working 100%. It seemed like every single time I saw it, there were either dead pixels or the screen just wasn’t on.

But the thing that irked me the most about it was that the screen wasn’t the same proportions as a regular PSP screen. The large billboard was erected in May 2005 and has called that corner home for more than 3 years (too long if you ask me — especially since it wasn’t even working most of the time).

If you’re nostalgic about the sign, you can visit its better days via Flickr.

Stock Market rollercoaster T-shirt from Neatorama

October 7, 2008 @ 2:26 am

Neatorama is selling this amusing stock market rollercoaster ride T-shirt for $9.95 USD. The image is representative of the perpetual plunge and rise of the stock market, most recently today when United States, European, and Asian markets all took a steep dive.

The worsening economic sitation in the US is causing some distress in families with children in high school going onto college because some banks have stopped giving out Stafford loans.

Anyway, I really like this T-shirt. I kinda want one, but you know, I’m all out of money to spend on frivolous tees like this.
