It’s a shame that I’m only just finding out about this wonderful band named Milburn, a whole year or so after they’ve disbanded. But they’re pretty great (at least this CD here is) and I’m enjoying the familiar Arctic Monkeys-like singing and musical styles. In fact, according to Wikipedia, Milburn was the band that helped the Arctic Monkeys become big.
Anyway, you can check out their debut album Well Well Wellhere.
Switchfoot’s latest album Hello Hurricane leaked 8 days ahead of its November 10th release date. You can listen to it now or wait a couple of more days to buy it on Amazon.com.
Now that the choice is there, WHAT WILL YOU DECIDE?!
I’ve been listening to this CD all week after Christina mentioned that I should be listening to it. And she’s right. It’s catchy in every way possible (think electronic beeps and boops) and the guy’s voice (Adam Young) is tolerable. I’m not exactly sure if I can pinpoint what sort of feeling this entire album gives me, but it does make me feel happy and relaxed. And for that, I’ll keep it around.
The single that seems to be playing now on the radio is a song called “Fireflies”. It’s probably one of the least interesting tracks on the album in my opinion so don’t let it deter you from giving this artist a listen.
UPDATE: NEW LINK WILL BE UPLOADED LATER. UPDATE 2: Fixed link.
Pretty Much Amazing posted the Chiddy Bang mixtape The Swelly Express yesterday with a bunch of never-before-released songs as well as the familiar Chiddy Bang favorites.
If you haven’t heard, the New Super Mario Bros. Wii game now has a release date of November 15th in the US. The New Super Mario Bros. Wii looks like it’s the Mario game to have for the Nintendo Wii. Can’t wait to own it!
Kotaku had the hi-res art available for viewing, but they made it real cumbersome to download so I packed all of the New Super Mario Bros. Wii artwork into one zip file which you can download here.
