A little over a week ago, I was in Boston just hanging out and exploring some random places. One of those places was Dock 16 (or Pier 16) in the Boston Dry Docks area. The building was fenced off and it looked unused and abandoned for quite some time. I’m not sure what the building was used for previously, but it certainly looked like it could have been some sort of repair shop for ships.
The building is very long and quite tall and sits in isolation directly next to one of the largest vacant lots that I’ve ever seen.
Here’s what the building looks like on the outside.

This shack was just sitting in the middle of a dirt field. I jumped the fence to go inside and found that the place was completely gutted except for a tag on the wall that read “Mental Continental”.
If the weather was warmer, this empty field would have been a great place to play.

I’m not sure how this place normally is, but it was absolutely dead today. I was the only person in the area surrounded by these very tall buildings. There are a few abandoned structures on the outskirts of the Dry Docks and I went into 2 of them but there really wasn’t much to see.
The Boston Police also patrol the area like mad but no trouble from them. Dock 16 is a ginormous abandoned structure. I’ll post pictures later.
