I’ve posted a news video of this pelican eating a pigeon before, but it’s nothing compared to the full original video captured above by Elizabeth Toni. The news report version (previous link) doesn’t really give an accurate depiction of the extent to which the pelican goes to keep the pigeon inside its mouth. I mean seriously, that pigeon is fighting for its life in the mouth of that pelican and the pelican isn’t letting it go one bit!
I wonder what would happen if the pigeon had bit through the skin of the neck on the pelican. Eeks…bloody mess that’s for sure and at least one dead bird.
