Email issues

November 18, 2009 @ 1:06 am

Just letting you all know that I’ve been working out some issues with a new email server and if you sent me any email in the past 3-4 days, I may not have received it. So if you didn’t hear back from me, chances are I never got it. Please feel free to re-send those emails. And if you aren’t sure, just go ahead and send them again anyway.

Note: This service notice only pertains to emails sent to herman[at]doobybrain.com. Thanks!

This one’s good

November 9, 2009 @ 3:40 am

This just came through via email and it’s funny because 1) it addresses me as “President&CEO” (one word); and 2) it makes no sense and you can tell it was written by somebody in China.

I’ve found lately that the bigger this site gets, the more of these ridiculous emails I tend to receive (and ignore). For the record, if you do have copyright complaints, please forward them to kma@doobybrain.com. Thank you!

I now have a legitimate reason to start actively using my Google Voice number because as of earlier today, Google has allowed for the free forwarding of SMS messages to your Gmail account. You can reply via email too which is utterly fantastic!!! There really is no need for me to keep my text message plan for much longer.

Gmail’s new Undo Send feature (in Gmail Labs) should hopefully solve the email problem of forgetting to include an attachment, thus reducing the amount of duplicate emails from senders. YES.
