Video demonstration of the human eye’s blind spot

Here’s a video that quickly demonstrates the human eye’s blind spot.

Lasik eye surgery is a success!

post-lasik

So for the remainder of the day, I have to wear these totally rad goggles to prevent myself from accidentally rubbing my eyes. The procedure itself was painless and quick, taking approximately 10 minutes for both eyes.

I also cannot sleep until about 10PM tonight because the doctors do not want my eyes to rip open the cut that occurred during the procedure. Other than that, I can see pretty clearly (there’s slight blurriness for now, but it will go away in the next day or so).

I’m happy. :)

Getting lasik eye surgery tomorrow

April 16, 2009 @ 10:12 pm

For the past month and a half, I’ve been preparing myself for lasik eye surgery. And now, my surgery date is tomorrow bright and early in the morning.

The video above shows and explains how the procedure works. It looks painful, but I hear the patient doesn’t feel a thing. Anyway, I’m ready to get this done.

I might be getting Lasik eye surgery

I can’t read this ad myself, but apparently, it’s the special I’ll be taking advantage of in the coming weeks as I will undergo preliminary procedures to get myself ready for Lasik eye surgery. The ad is a 2-for-1 special and I think my brother will be doing this with me.

Anyway, I’m excited because I’m about fed up with contacts. I want to wake up and be able to see the clock without having to actually get off my bed! I hope my preliminary checkup goes fine so that I can get the surgery done.

In the meantime, I’m not allowed to wear contacts until this Saturday so that my eyes can get used to not having anything physically on them.
