Mark Weaver made this poster that lists a few things that New Jersey is known for. He also made one for Massachusetts and New England too. I like these.

Andy decided to remove the people from famous internet memes (videos and pictures). There were only about 3 that I couldn’t name out of the 22 he posted. Check out his internet memes without people post and see if you can name them all (then click on each image to see the answer).

Famous Movie Moments Conducted Through Ichat: Malcolm and Cole by Laser Bread on Flickr

Brock Davis (the same person who placed googley eyes on lots of things) has created 3 images that show what famous movie moments might have looked like if they were played out on Apple’s iChat.

The one above is from Sixth Sense, and if you like that one, you should check out the conversation between Jules and Vincent from Pulp Fiction and Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker from Star Wars.

A lot of famous people in “He’s Just Not That Into You”

Seriously, could there be any more famous people in one movie?! And why is “not” italicized? That seems like the wrong word to put that style on, especially in that phrase.

Anyway, with a famous cast as long as this, He’s Just Not That Into You is looking up to be a pretty big disaster. And if the movie poster is any sign, it looks like I’ll be right.

The Sling Shot Man is more accurate than your gun

January 24, 2009 @ 2:02 am

What do you call a man that can hit a quarter in mid-air with a sling shot? Rufus Hussey, that’s what you call him. Rufus has somehow mastered the art of the beanshooter (or sling shot) and can hit almost any target he looks at. Want him to hit a particular spot on a target? Yep, he can do that too. That’s how good he is.

The segment above was filmed in 1985 for Down Home With The Carolina Camera, a variety show that aired in Charlotte, NC and features special Carolinians who are not famous.

Ugly Betty is filming right outside my front door

September 27, 2008 @ 3:15 am

Ugly Betty has been filming on my street (directly across from my front door) since late Friday afternoon and into early Saturday morning. I stood outside to watch the whole crew do their magic and I ended up seeing America Ferrera.

I don’t watch Ugly Betty, but I can tell you that this “West Side Falafel” restaurant is part of the TV show because this is the 2nd time they’ve come here in the past couple of months to film this location. If you’re curious, the “West Side Falafel” is actually a Japanese sushi restaurant in real life called Izumi.
