September 21, 2009 @ 11:00 pm

PDN’s photo of the day is this peculiar photograph by Andreas Jakwerth who shot a rare group of young boys at the Hetzendorf, a baroque palace in Vienna that houses a fashion school. The boys are all wearing their own creations and you can check out the rest of the photos from this series on Andreas’ website.

Certainly an interesting bunch that photograph very well.

Japanese designer Yumi Katsura used a robotic humanoid (HRP-4C) named Miim to show off a new wedding dress to crowds at the 2009 Yumi Katsura Paris Grand Collection fashion show in Osaka on July 22, 2009.

NO THANKS. I want my robots looking like robots, not humans.

Richard Haines for 3sixteen from 3sixteen on Vimeo.

Hilton Carter (of Fresh Kill) put together this fabulous video featuring fashion sketch artist Richard Haines (who runs the blog What I Saw Today) working and talking about his illustrations for 3sixteen’s Fall 2009 line.

If you remember, I posted a few photos of a recent project I was happy to be a part of which involved the folks at 3sixteen and lots of poster prints of Richard Haines’ artwork.

Here’s a couple of quick links to where the project has been covered:

Catch the prints in person around New York City…
