You can now use Google Voice with your existing number

October 27, 2009 @ 12:51 am

Just a heads up for those of you using Google Voice: Google now allows you to use Google Voice features with your existing phone number. This means that if you weren’t too excited about having to get a new number to give out to people to access Google Voice’s features, well, now that roadblock has disappeared.

Fixed-gear features and benefits (illustrated)

Lunchbreath illustrates the features and benefits of a fixed-gear bicycle over the more commonly ridden freewheel variety. The comic is definitely tongue-in-cheek, but I think it fails to relay the fact that riding fixie is just plain fun. [via]

Gmail Labs list getting pretty long

Yep, that’s the full list of experimental features available as of April 2009 in Gmail Labs. The list is getting long, with Google confirming 43 different features to choose from and no clear way to sort them or view them. Something needs to be done about this…

A BlackBerry post for no good reason except that I want to

October 24, 2008 @ 3:39 am

So yeah, it’s in stone now. I just “pre-ordered” the BlackBerry Bold and it should be in my hands in just over a week’s time. I’m excited because I’ll be able to be online ALL THE TIME, which means:

  • I’ll be able to check and respond to email whenever, wherever (especially now that Google has revamped their mobile Gmail for BlackBerry)
  • I can chat with you
  • I’ll finally have a plan with texting again
  • BLACKBERRY MESSENGER
  • I’ll be on my way to being connected 24/7. OMG DREAM.

And lots more. I’m pretty sure GPS will be fun too. I’ll pretend to get lost all the time so I can whip it out (the phone, not…my thing) and make use of it. And maybe, I’ll even become part of the 87% of the PDA-using population that brings their devices to bed.

Here’s my favorite BlackBerry Bold video review from megawhat.tv.
