Check out Justin James Reed’s photographs, especially from his New Cities set. [via]

I’ve honestly never heard of him before, but I’m loving his work. It’s very similar to stuff that I shoot and I’m more than glad to add his name to my list of photographers to look up to.

By the way, I updated my Walls and Fences set with pictures I took today (the new photos are at the end).

Some photos from today and yesterday

With the exception of a photograph here and there, I rarely ever post my own work up here on Doobybrain.com. But lately, I’ve been going to new places and shooting new things (meaning, I’m not taking photos in New York City) and I think that that has somewhat reinvigorated my love for photography. Part of my initial love for photography stemmed from the excitement I felt when I was exploring a new place and over the years that feeling has dwindled down to almost nothing (with the exception of my time in Australia, of course).

But now, for whatever reason, I’ve started shooting for myself again and I’m beginning to feel the love come back.

Yesterday, I ventured into Red Hook and under the Gowanus Expressway. Today, I found myself under the Long Island Expressway in Long Island City and also under the Boardwalk at Coney Island. I’ve uploaded some photos here if you want to see (more will be added as the week continues).

I think it’s safe to say that I’ve been bitten by the exploration bug and I sorta can’t wait for tomorrow to get here.
