I really want to watch this documentary called The Boys: The Sherman Brothers’ Story. It’s about the song-writing duo Richard and Robert Sherman who ended up composing many of the classic Disney songs that many of us grew up with. The pair were legendary in their field and this new documentary takes a look at their craft, their relationship with Disney, and their relationship with each other over the years.
As far as I know, the film has already been released in select theaters and won’t be seeing a worldwide release anytime soon mainly because of its appeal to Disney buffs only (rather than larger audiences in general). In any case, I would love to see this film and get a sense of how some of the songs that I grew up with came to be.
This is sure to rival Apple’s own movie trailers page once more trailers are added. And surprisingly, all of the studios are allowing the videos to be embedded which is nice.
Here’s the trailer for Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs (just for fun).
Rick Washburn, the owner of the weapons vault he calls Weapons Specialist and he is responsible for supplying and even creating weapons for a long list of major Hollywood films. Rick says that most of the guns he owns in his collection were at one time actual guns but are now modified to shoot only blanks. But you don’t have to have a big budget to get access to his collection. Rick says he welcomes any potential customer so long as they can pass an FBI background check.
ANTREPO4 has released a set of simple and eye-catching movie posters that include a list of product and brand names that have appeared in that particular film. As an example, I have posted the ANTREPO4 posters for Iron Man and The Matrix Trilogy above. It’s incredible how many products get advertised to us in a movie and how we just absorb it all in during the duration of the entire film. I guess a movie really is a 2-hour advertisement.
I believe these posters are available for purchase, but you’ll have to email ANTREPO4 for pricing.
The box acts as a sort of a catalog, allowing you to flip through different eras in movie-making. There’s the original movie artwork on one page and the opposite facing page contains the DVD disc. This item is so amazing that Oprah named it one of her favorite things during the holiday 2007 season.
