Rooftop view of Flight 175 hitting the South Tower

September 13, 2009 @ 11:36 am

I have never seen this particular footage of United Airlines flight 175 crashing into the South Tower. I’m sorry for those who don’t want to see these videos, but I feel like reviewing the events helps me cope in some odd way. Anyway, in this video, the person filming gets a clear glimpse of Flight 175 as it makes its way quickly into the NYC downtown area.

Archival footage of the building of Disneyland

August 24, 2009 @ 5:46 pm

This is so awesome. Indicommons links to a set of videos showing the building of California’s Disneyland. It turns out that Walt Disney had incredible foresight into the importance that Disneyland would have for future generations, so he set up several viewing towers where he maintained constant archival footage of the building of the park. Shown in the videos here are the time-lapse footage from those towers which show how one of the most famous amusement parks in the world came to be. Truly inspiring!
