Beams and Oakley have teamed up to present these limited edition Frogskins which I think would look fantastic with some tinted lenses. Too bad they’re about $205+ USD.

Herrlicht is an eyeglasses maker in Germany that specializes in hand-made custom wood frames. [via]

I’ve actually never seen this done before but they certainly do look fabulous! I imagine however that these would be worn on somebody who does absolutely no physical work whatsoever for fear of sweat ruining the wood over time. Right? Maybe? I don’t know…

Check out their latest frames below.

Something about a black frame and a thick white border make any ordinary picture look amazing. These are pretty hot.

Peep them in person at the Calumet Gallery from May 12-22.
And if you can, stop by on Tuesday, May 12th from 6PM-8:30PM for the opening reception where you can meet me and the rest of the graduating photography class of 2009 (and see their work too!).

I honestly consider this to be one of the best photographs I’ve ever taken, and I don’t really know why.

Video of Disney using recycled animation frames

April 8, 2009 @ 2:03 pm

In January I was surprised to find out that Disney has been slipping recycled frames of animation under my nose for many, many years. The pictures were proof of some instances where Disney animators just seemed too lazy to make new animations, but now there’s a video out that’s even more compelling proof that Disney just sold us the same cartoon with different character names.
