Hospital operating theater light

November 12, 2009 @ 3:26 am

This 1940’s operating theater light is taken straight out of a German hospital and re-fitted to fit regular incandescent bulbs for use in the home or office setting. It’s a unique lighting fixture that will run you about $4200 USD from Trainspotting. It’s unfortunate that this is so expensive.

Ink Tank graffiti spray tagging system

AnimalNY writes about Ink Tank, a German group of graffiti writers/artists who have created their own KRINK-like branded spray tagging system that is small enough to fit inside an average sized backpack.

It’s all nice I suppose, but don’t people know that they can make these sprayers themselves with a very cheap pesticide spray pump? I mean, I literally used to watch my dad do this same thing with poison. I should ask him where our pesticide pump is — he’d probably give it to me.

Audi TT-RS

Freshnessmag posted a link to Avus Performance, a German performance sportcar company that has a great track record of producing awesome looking cars.

Above is the Audi TT-RS which they’ve given an elegant matte black paint job. As it turns out, they tend to replace the standard paint job on many of their vehicles with a matte black coat which I think makes any car look cool.

See below the Nissan GTR, Audi Q7, and Mercedes ML — all in matte black. Nice eh?

Luke posted a link to Juergen Chill’s birds eye view photos of German prison cells and now I’m led to believe that German prison is actually a nice place to be.

These cells are so elaborately decorated and home-y. Makes me wonder if my apartment in Melbourne was actually a prison…

Darth Vader believes in viral marketing

If for some reason you’ve never seen Star Wars, then you’d probably think the Death Star was run by a bunch of English-speaking Germans after watching this video. But of course, most of us (if not all of us) know that this is not true. The Death Star is really just a big viral marketing machine for videos like this to be built upon! [via]
