Do you see it? In the distance there is the Sydney Opera House, covered in the thick dust storm that I linked pictures of previously.

The Big Picture has a great selection of photos from September 23, 2009.

Prolly posted some photos of people’s Milwaukee Bruiser bicycles and the one shown here with an entire frame that reflects and glows under the right lighting conditions makes me want to do the exact same thing to my future bike frame (I wouldn’t do this on my current frame).

I just wish Beacon Graphics made reflective vinyl tape that was blue like this.

Jellyfish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium

May 26, 2009 @ 9:31 am

Drifters of the deep from Eugenia Loli-Queru on Vimeo.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is back again with another magnificent video of sea creatures (previously, they shot a video of the fish with a transparent head). This time it features a bunch of different kind of jelly fish which normally tend to scare me a bit, but I can stand them here because I’m watching them through a monitor through a glass enclosing. Nice.

Greg White’s portfolio (#2) is worth checking out if you’re in need of some visual stimuli. Everything in his portfolio is lit so precisely and he somehow makes the dullest objects seem to glow. It’s wonderful!

Rainbow jellyfish discovered near Tasmania

A new specifes of jellyfish has been discovered off the coast of Tasmania and one of its distinctive features is a rainbow glow that emanates from its cilia when light is reflected on it. The jellyfish is also incredibly fragile and “shatters” when it touches a net. Man, such a beautiful sea creature and you can’t even pet it!
