Directed by Laurie Thinot, this music video for the song “Stay The Same” by Autokratz is full of wonderful animations of birds and people and the various life cycles that they go through. Love it!

New Skateboard Graphics

I was just at the MoMA Store on Spring Street and I was able to get a good look at this fantastic book called New Skateboard Graphics from my favorite book publisher Mark Batty Publisher.

The book is bound with a hardcover and features full-page color graphics that really speak to the incredible designs coming out of the skating community since the 1980’s. Well-known skateboard companies such as Chocolate, Element, Enjoi, Heroin, Hessenmob, $lave, Toy Machine, and many others are represented in this seemingly all-encompassing collection of graphics. I’ve always said that when I grow up I’d love to collect skateboard decks and this is the exact reason why. Skateboard decks are often overlooked for their amazing artwork and this book does excellent justice to bring those designers, artists, and skaters to light.

Check out some sample pages in the gallery below or buy the entire book for only $18.45 at Amazon.com.

UPDATE: New Skateboard Graphics actually has a website with a lot more images and information, so check it out and pick up the book!

Adobe Experience Design team looks at Iron Man HUD

October 15, 2008 @ 12:32 am

Ethan Eismann, the Design Manager for the Adobe Creative Suite, got to sit down with Dav Rauch of The Orphanage, the company that created the look of the heads-up-display (HUD) in Iron Man’s suit, and talk to him about the process of creating the realistic interface.

Check out the video here to see what went into the design and special effects of the cool HUD inside Iron Man’s helmet.
