The line at The High Line

It’s absolutely ridiculous that there’s a line to enter The High Line elevated park in Manhattan.

I went to check it out last week and I was feeling a bit underwhelmed by the whole experience. The only part that was worth talking about is the amphitheater that overlooks 10th Avenue. The rest of the elevated park is kinda boring and I couldn’t help but keep thinking that I’d much rather be walking on street level.

The workplace safety video to rule them all

Will You Be Here Tomorrow, a 1998 workplace safety video from Educational Resources, Inc., shows the very gruesome side of accidents in the workplace. [via]

The creators of this video don’t seem to have any sort of line drawn in terms of bloodshed, so be warned that the video is graphic (even after knowing that that all of the accidents were filmed used dummies).
