The Philadelphia Police Department have released a mugshot of Kari Ferrell, more popularly known as the “Hipster Grifter”, who turned herself in on Sunday, May 3, 2009 after being on the run from the Utah police for quite some time. Her bail is reportedly set at $250,000. Man, who is she going to swindle that kind of money from now?

Now that the Hipster Grifter (Kari Ferrell) is in police custody, maybe you’d like to remember her shady life by printing out this papercraft foldable of her and putting it on your desk.

First, I just want to say that I know somebody that looks exactly like Kari Ferrell (more commonly known as the Hipster Grifter) and I’m wondering if she has changed her hairdo to look less like this infamous and shady character.
Second, I really think the Hipster Grifter story is quite funny and it’s weird that she’s become so famous for…being a crook.
And lastly, props to AnimalNY for actually scoring an interview and some photos of Kari to prove that yes, she still is in New York (and running from Utah law) and really juicing her newfound fame for all it’s worth.

What puzzles me is why nobody has turned her in yet, or why the Utah police haven’t been able to find her as easily as New Yorkers have.
