Angel is showing off some photos of the Optimus Prime Peterbilt truck from Transformers (1 & 2) on Sunset Boulevard in California. The photos were taken on June 24, 2009 and I am assuming that the truck will stay in front of the theater for a bit longer to ring in the release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

I’d appreciate any of my California readers in confirming this assumption. Or was the truck just there for the debut of the movie today? In any case, check out more photos of the truck here.

Damien Walters 2009 showreel

Check out Hollywood stuntman Damien Walters’ 2009 showreel. The music quality sucks (and it’s kinda annoying), but man, those jumps, flips, and somersaults are insane!

Thanks Clarence!

Weapons Specialist in New York City

March 15, 2009 @ 2:48 pm

One of the largest weapons arsenals on the East Coast reportedly resides in the heart of New York City’s SoHo district.

Rick Washburn, the owner of the weapons vault he calls Weapons Specialist and he is responsible for supplying and even creating weapons for a long list of major Hollywood films. Rick says that most of the guns he owns in his collection were at one time actual guns but are now modified to shoot only blanks. But you don’t have to have a big budget to get access to his collection. Rick says he welcomes any potential customer so long as they can pass an FBI background check.

I’d love to check the place out.

Catching up with one of the original Munchkins

I don’t know how TMZ finds these people, but their camera crews caught up with Jerry Maren, one of the original munchkins in the “Lollipop Guild” (up until this very moment, I thought they were saying “Lollipop Kids” rather than “Lollipop Guild”).

Anyway, Jerry talks briefly about how they were treated on the set of Wizard of Oz and how he feels about the Munchkins having their own star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

And if you don’t know who Jerry is, he’s the one in the middle in the picture above and the video below.
