Heads up, Mac users! The entire MacHEADS documentary is now fully online for free viewing at Hulu! The film follows several people who label themselves as Apple fanatics or Mac fanatics and attempts to make some sense of their unhealthy obsession with machines.

So I just finished watching the Michael Jackson memorial via CNN.com, Hulu, and SkyNews and I have to say that SkyNews takes the cake for best presentation and video quality. They had the entire stream in HD which was pretty fantastic. You could literally see the tears in people’s eyes.
Hulu, on the other hand, sucked.

So I’m on Hulu and I discover that Voltron Defender of the Universe is available for free viewing on Hulu! I actually don’t know how many seasons there were of Voltron, but currently Hulu has 2 seasons’ worth of episodes (45 episodes) which should take up a lot of time if one were to watch it from the beginning. Whoo! :D

This past week NBC announced the release of Hulu Desktop, a desktop application that allows you to watch Hulu in the same way you would on a media center console. Hulu Desktop works with media center remotes and Apple remotes to offer a “lean-back experience” that sort of turns your computer into your TV (if all you want to watch is NBC-related material).
After a few days of use, I think I’m in love with Hulu Desktop. It really is like turning on the TV on your computer because once you open the app the previous show you were watching comes on and begins playing. Plus, it’s great that I can use keyboard shortcuts to navigate around the menus and really enjoy my shows in full-screen. I wish Netflix would make an app like this.

Hulu has posted this exclusive look at Dug the talking dog in the upcoming Pixar film Up. This short clip is very funny and I’m sure now that I’ll fall in love with the film. Dug reminds me a lot of my dog Joey and I believe Joey’s thoughts would follow the same pattern if he had the same collar.

I didn’t watch the Super Bowl which means that I didn’t watch the much-anticipated ads. And if you’re in the same situation as I am, then you’ll be happy to know that Hulu actually has every single Super Bowl XLIII ad online for free viewing. Vote on your favorites and see the results of the poll on Tuesday.
It’s funny that Hulu is doing this because what they’re doing is basically my dream television station — a channel that plays ads all day long without any specific programming. I love watching ads and I wish there was a dedicated channel for them that would just loop commercials 24/7. Imagine the money that would come out of that!
