What is the melting point of a human?
May 16, 2009 @ 3:29 pm

Apparently, when asked this question, Wolfram Alpha returns the rather surprising result of 1700 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks to Shannon over at BBG for pointing this out.
And for what its worth, this whole Wolfram Alpha thing really isn’t all that impressive. Sure, it displays information in a more coherent way, but in terms of actually finding out information, I think there are better sources out there.
Human Animals by Corey Arnold
December 16, 2008 @ 4:52 pm

Corey Arnold is a photographer and also an Alaskan crab fisherman. For at least 3 months a year, he is aboard the F/V Rollo in the Bering Sea capturing intimate moments with his fellow crew members and life-forms captured at sea. His pictures are very awesome, and I especially like his Human Animals series.
I’ve included a small gallery of my select favorites below, but I’d highly recommend checking out all of his work on his website. He has several shows lined up for the coming year, one of which is in New York at the Sara Tecchia gallery on 529 West 20th Street in March 2009.
Human slinky
November 11, 2008 @ 12:47 am
So you probably already saw the slinky cat that loves to slide down the stairs. Well, how about a human dressed in clothes that resemble a slinky? Now that’s funny! [via]
Seriously, where do I get an outfit like this? This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.
