If you’re down for some really great illustrations and drawings, follow Jessie Douglas via her blog where she posts wonderful images of her works in progress. I really wish I had the ability to draw like this (or the ability to draw at all…).

I really love the sketches, drawings, and illustrations of various places and objects by Emma Kelly. [via]

My First Dictionary is a blog that uses childrens story illustrations and juxtaposes them with specific words to make the original intention of the artwork completely different.
The blog is categorized alphabetically so you can go to any particular letter and see what’s been repurposed for that particular day. In the end, it’s a bit twisted but I find it kinda funny, especially given the highly colorful artwork.

Jan Willem Wennekes has an impressive portfolio of illustrations which include these two images of wall graphics. He doesn’t say, but from the looks of it, I think these are painted onto the wall and not simply just vinyl stickers.
Pretty cool, huh. Check out some more images here.

I could probably look at Andy Gilmore’s drawings and illustrations all day. [via]
He’s got some of the craziest eyes for color and patterns of anybody I’ve ever come across.
His Flickr account is a good place to get a look at most of his design work. I recommend starting with his grids and then moving on to his many designs.

Chris is right, Tom Gauld’s Flickr photostream really is a stream of illustrations and comics. And I can’t get enough of it! This one posted above is #72 (”Short Story”), but there are tons more on his Flickr as well as on Cabanon Press.
I suggest going through all 53 comics simply because there’s not one that I don’t think is absolutely brilliant.
