Hong Kong is one of my favorite places in the world and this Flickr photoset comparing old photographs of Hong Kong with modern images of the same locations is making me have wanderlust. It’s amazing to see what has changed and what has stayed the same over all these years.

If you get some time, you should definitely check out One In 8 Million, an interactive New York Times web showcase of some of New York City’s unique personalities.
The profile on Alife sneaker collector Jesse Villanueva is interesting as is the profile on ex-bank robber Mark Mocha.

Just read over at Gizmodo that the Apple Store is still selling brand-new first-generation iPod music devices for $130. Whether or not this is a mistake is to be seen (comments are saying that it’s a glitch but at least one commenter has purchased the item), but for now, it looks like you can get a piece of design history at the Apple online store.
In any case, seeing that post made me think about the design of the first iPod and how lovely it looked. I did a bit of research and found the original press images for the iPod and you can check them out below. I couldn’t seem to find a place that had them up for download so now I’m offering it to you here.

Gizmodo has all 35 new Apple Snow Leopard desktop images for viewing. Apple actually includes several images of snow leopards in their next OS release along with some neat hi-res images of famous works of art.
Gizmodo’s gallery seems to be a bit wonky, so if you want to download the images in hi-res, you can do so here.

It’s only another few weeks until Up is released in theaters worldwide and I cannot seem to hold my excitement in! Here are 10 new stills from the film. Check out the gallery after the jump and then head on over to Upcoming Pixar to see them a bit bigger and to check out some concept drawings as well.

Several photographers have taken Craig Damrauer’s New Math concept and created Photographer’s Math, a series of images that deconstruct the photographic industry into word problems. These couldn’t be more true.
