This week’s segment of Viral Video Film School (a part of Current’s series, infoMania) is one of the best. Host Brett Erlich takes a look at internet haulers and their “haul videos”.
For those who don’t know, haul videos are videos of people showing off what they bought. They are generally boring and tedious and offer very little to the internet video atmosphere, which is exactly why Brett’s take on this phenomenon is so spot on. Watch it and learn!
Sarah Haskins’ Target Women segment on infoMania this week talks about the many peculiar names that shaving companies use to talk about a woman’s pubic hair area.
Leave it to Sarah to reveal the odd practices of an entire industry when advertising products for women. This is good.
infoMania’s Ben Hoffman gets an exclusive interview with the most famous boobs on YouTube. If you ever look at YouTube’s top video section, you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about.
Yes, I’m talking about Marina Orlova, otherwise known as the big-breasted woman on HotForWords. Marina posts videos almost daily of vocabulary lessons and admits to using her big chest as a tool to draw in viewers.
As you’ll hear from the interview above, Marina actually does all of her video work and production herself, which is pretty impressive. No wonder she has no time to go out or entertain a boyfriend.
To prepare you all for the sarcastic, dry humor that Sarah Haskins is bound to say this Sunday, here’s a hilarious segment of Target Women in which Sarah investigates how NBC is trying to kill Ann Curry.
Funny, but man would I love to have Ann Curry’s job in order to travel to so many places. Her passport must be stamped like mad.
This has been up for several weeks now, but I’m just getting around to catching up on missed videos over the holiday season and I wanted to share this particular episode because 1) it is my favorite online show and 2) it is funny and witty and a perfect way to sum up 2008.
Check it out. It’s long, but that’s because it’s an actual show.
