Rihanna speaks to Diane Sawyer about physical abuse

November 5, 2009 @ 9:32 pm

This morning, Good Morning America (ABC) aired a special exclusive interview with Rihanna about her relationship with Chris Brown and the physical abuse she suffered while dating him. This morning’s segment was a mere 5 minutes but it reveals a lot already about Rihanna’s thought patterns and how she didn’t even realize that she was in a destructive relationship until it was too late. The full episode will air tomorrow night on 20/20 but for now, you can see a sneak peek of it in the video above. [via]

PS: I think this is the first time I’ve ever heard Rihanna speak. I’ve known her music and her singing voice for so long that it’s a bit weird to hear her just speaking normally. But good for her for getting this message out. Tune in to 20/20 tomorrow to see the entire interview with Diane Sawyer.

Behind the scenes at CXXVI

October 28, 2009 @ 2:48 am

Limited Hype has a nice little behind-the-scenes look at clothing and design company CXXVI (”OneTwentySix“) owned by Matt Gorton and Jon Contino.

You may remember that I posted something briefly about CXXVI earlier this month and now it’s cool to see what they’re all about and how they hand-make just about everything in their line.

The Daily Show goes to Iran

Daily Show Goes to Iran from sahar sarshar on Vimeo.

Sahar Sashar put together this short video with Jason Jones and Tim Greenberg of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart about the duo’s trip to Iran to dispel some long-standing rumors that Americans have against the people of Iran. I love how it takes a comedy show like The Daily Show to really put the world into perspective.

Lil Mama talks about hijacking the stage during Jay-Z’s VMAs performance

September 15, 2009 @ 8:05 pm

If you watched Sunday’s VMAs, you might have noticed that Lil Mama managed to get herself up on stage during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance of “Empire State of Mind”. I was so confused when I saw it because I couldn’t really tell right away if it was planned or if Lil Mama was hijacking the stage, but in this MTV interview, Lil Mama admits that the stunt was not planned and that Jay-Z “wasn’t feeling it”. Student reporter Damon Weaver interviews President Barack Obama

August 14, 2009 @ 7:27 pm

This kid is great! I just hope somebody recognizes his talent and passion and doesn’t let him fall through the cracks as he gets older.

In the interview, Damon was able to ask President Obama about what he thinks can be done to improve the education system and also whether or not Obama has any plans to make school lunch taste better. The ending however, is gold. :)
