I’m finding Flash increasingly useless and prohibiting when it comes to getting a good user-experience out of the web. I understand that Flash has been around long enough to make it nearly impossible to eradicate overnight, but for the love of God, please stop making entire websites out of Flash. Ads, banners, and simple animations are fine, but not the whole website. PLEASE.
From 1920 to today, The Movie Title Stills Collection is your one-stop website to go to in order to get a good sense of how a particular decade introduced movies to its audiences.
If I had to pick one TV show that made me love dinosaurs as a kid, it was probably Land of the Lost. I honestly don’t remember much about the show itself, but I remember the intro (shown above) very well and all of the dinosaurs that were in it. A part of me always wished I could go back in time like the characters in the show and see dinosaurs up close and be their friends.
The Simpsons intro is getting slightly revised for its first ever debut as an HD broadcast this Sunday, February 15, 2009. While there are still the familiar cut scenes from the original intro, the new HD intro seems to to pack in some jokes from the last 20 years of the show as well.
Tune in to FOX on Demand if you want to catch the episode after it airs.
Wow, I haven’t seen this intro in like 10 years (if not more). I used to watch Reading Rainbow every day after school (or in school during “after-school care”). Since that time, it looks like Reading Rainbow has gotten a new logo, but I’m sorta glad it’s still hosted by Levar Burton after all these years. That man is awesome.
So take a look! It’s in a book! A reading rainbow…!
